Chalet Rental Contract
Terms & Conditions

1- Reservation

  • Alyal Resort receives families only. Proof of this must be presented upon request.
  • If the reservation is for a couple or one of the honeymoon packages, a copy of the marriage certificate and the couple’s original valid civil IDs or official IDs for the couples from outside Kuwait must be presented upon check-in.
  • Otherwise, the reservation will be canceled and the reservation amount paid will become the exclusive right of the resort.
  • The tenant acknowledges the validity of the personal data entered upon booking and the legal enforcement of all letters and advertisements thereon.
  • The tenant acknowledges that the name registered in the reservation is the correct name who lives in the chalet and that he is at least 21 years old.
  • A pledge to exploit the chalet on a personal and family basis, and there is no right to rent it or assign it to others.
  • Inform the resort in advance of arrival time. The Special Requests field can be used during the booking process or contacting customer service.
  • If there are any observations about the cleanliness of the chalet and the safety of the furniture or other components of the chalet upon receipt of the chalet, the tenant must photocopy the observations and inform the reception desk or customer service immediately.

2- Damage Deposit

  • A Damage Deposit amount will be collected upon booking against damage or lost items or violation of contract terms. The Damage Deposit amount will be displayed  during booking process & listed in the booking confirmation massage.The amount paid will be refunded after one (1) business day from the date of check-out, subject to the inspection of the chalet and the absence of any damage or lost items.
  • In the event of any damages or lost items, the amount declared/estimated by the resort management will be automatically deducted from the deposit amount.
  • The tenant sends a link with an amount determined by the resort management subject to the terms of this contract.
  • In the event of damage or lost items are of a value exceeding the deposit amount, the resort has the right to demand appropriate compensation after automatically deducting the full deposit amount.

3- Payment of Reservation Amount

  • The reservation amount includes the chalet rental value, the damage deposit value, and the value of any other services booked through the resort’s website https://www.alyalkw.com/en
  • The resort offers payment facilities for the reservation amount. The remaining amount if any, must be paid 3 days before the check-in date.
  • On official holidays the remaining amount if any, must be paid 7 days before the check-in date.
  • In the event of non-payment according to the above periods, the reservation will be canceled and the reservation amount paid becomes an exclusive right to the resort. The resort has the right to demand payment of the full reservation amount, excluding the damage deposit amount.

4- Reservation Cancellation/Modification

  • The reservation will be canceled/modified provided, the period between the date of cancellation/modification and the date of check-in is more than 14 days. Otherwise, the reservation will not be canceled/modified under any circumstances and the reservation amount paid will become the exclusive right of the resort. The resort has the right to demand payment of the full reservation amount.
  • In case of exceptional emergency, the reservation date will be postponed subject to the availability. Provided that proof of the emergency is submitted and the approval of resort management.
  • If the reservation is canceled according to the above period, the amount paid will be refunded after one business day from the date of cancellation.
  • If the tenant does not check in for any reason, the reservation amount paid becomes the exclusive right of the resort. The resort has the right to demand payment of the full reservation amount, excluding the damage deposit amount.
  • The tenant does not have the right to cancel the reservation in the event of an emergency unintentional stop of the elevator or due to misuse by the tenants or in the event of broken games or any piece of furniture or bad weather conditions or an emergency malfunction of the pool pumps. The tenant is not entitled to demand a refund of any amount paid in these cases.

5- Check-in and Check-out Times

  • The official check-in time is 2 pm and check-out time is 12 noon. It might be extended subject to availability and what has been agreed upon.
  • If the tenant is late for the scheduled check-out time of 12 noon, he will pay an amount of 20 K.D. for each hour of delay. It is automatically deducted from the paid damage deposit amount or claimed extra depending on the number of delayed hours.
  • In exception to this, what was agreed upon to extent check-out time?
  • If the tenant requests check-in one night before the booking date, in the event of availability extra fees will apply.

6- Swimming Pools

  • The tenant acknowledges the safety of the swimming pool and that there are no defects. In the event of any defect, he must photograph and inform the reception desk or customer service immediately.
  • The tenant acknowledges that he is aware of the depth of the pool and that there are no lifeguards in the pool. Children and anyone who does not know how to swim/dive must be under the responsibility and care of the tenant.
  • The tenant agrees to keep the pool clean, not to throw food or dirt and not to use body oils in the pool.
  • If the tenant requests to change pool water using resort water, the tenant will bear the cost of filling the pool of 10 K.D.
  • If the tenant requests to change pool water using a water tanker and whenever is possible, the tenant will bear the cost of filling the pool from the water tank.

7- Chalet’s Suitability for Exploitation

  • The tenant acknowledges that he has inspected the chalet and its equipment and that it is in good and acceptable habitable condition and the value of the reservation amount paid is fair and acceptable.
  • Tenant Pledges to maintain the chalet as private property and maintain its cleanliness and safety of all existing equipment.
  • Tenant Pledges not to make any changes or additions to the chalet whatsoever, regardless of their type or reason.
  • The tenant is obligated to maintain the cleanliness of the chalet. If upon check-out the chalet is not clean and in poor condition indicating lack of care or intentionality, an amount of 20 K.D. will be automatically deducted from the damage deposit.
  • It is prohibited to place posters on the walls of the chalet. If any posters are placed, the damages will be estimated by the resort management and charged to the tenant.
  • It is prohibited to move any piece of furniture inside the chalet.
  • It is prohibited to move any piece of furniture outside the chalet or to the beach.

8- General Conditions

  • Adherence to the laws of the state and preserving traditions, customs and public morals.
  • Maintaining good neighborly relations and not disturbing neighbors.
  • It is prohibited to use any loud speakers inside the chalet.
  • It is prohibited to smoke and use shisha inside the chalet. It is allowed on the balcony, outdoor seating area or outside the chalet.
  • Possession of any Flammable, Dangerous, Harmful or Illegal Materials is prohibited inside the chalet. The tenant acknowledges that he is solely responsible for all damages resulting therefrom.
  • Throw rubbish, trash and waste in designated places inside the chalet and resort. Do not throw it on the beach or the areas around the resort.
  • Resort management does not bear any responsibility for the loss of any of the tenant’s personal belongings inside and outside the chalet during the stay or after check-out.
  • Pets are prohibited from entering the chalet or resort.

9- The Tenant’s Full Legal Responsibility

  • The tenant acknowledges full legal responsibility for his safety and the safety of his companions and visitors. The resort management is not responsible for any claims due to death, injury, loss, drowning, fire, bad weather “God forbid,” or any other damage regardless of its type, cause or nature that may befall the tenant, his companions or his visitors.
  • The tenant acknowledges full legal responsibility for misuse, violating the law, or committing any crimes inside the chalet and resort.

The resort management has the full right to cancel the chalet reservation or cancel the stay in the chalet and resort in the event that the tenant does not comply with or violates any of the terms and conditions stipulated in this contract. The tenant is not entitled to claim any refund for the remaining period of the chalet reservation period and the paid reservation amount becomes an exclusive right to the resort.
